Well I felt duty-bound to mail this web log when I returned from my last vacation. Never had I been on a holiday to Africa. I was told by some work colleagues that they went on a week long party to Africa with some friends before I started working with them.
Anyway, I somehow got the idea into my head to go on a safari, and Africa I heard was a great choice. I found myself booking a Shark Diving holiday at a place called Pinewood Village in the South of Africa. This was one of the most amazing resorts that i had ever seen.
I had never been on any Scuba Diving Holidays before, and I want you to realise that this one wasnt really a Scuba Diving holiday, mainly because I was going to be in a cage. There was a somewhat ragged looking Tug-boat sitting at the dock. There was a captain who I will remember very well, probably because his name resembled something I could only describe as a mythical creature, Joolawacky (the closest spelling I could think of).
The Ocean was remarkably warm, but that could have been the affect of the wet suit. The next word that flows into my ears is “Incoming!!”. That was when it happened, some torpedo shaped greyish blur slammed the side of the cage and I was knocked into the bars, we were pulled out straight away. Well i thought to myself at least i have something to tell people back home.
I saw the cage, my head hurt but not as much as the cage looked damaged. I was then immediately told that a free dive would be on the table if I wanted it. I will let you decide what my response was. I was invited to go Diving in Egypt, I think that happened last week!
