Chessington World of Adventures in Surrey has declared that 50 people had to be rescued from the Safari Skyride on Saturday evening, due to power nonstarter. The electrical company EDF has said that several thousands of people in the area lost their electricity after a cable fault.
The power cut mainly affected the Safari Skyride, which actually travels on top of the park and shows visitors the sites. But if the ride then ends up stopping it can be very dangerous, especially if it is stuck over a lion cage. Although it was Chessingtons busiest period of the year, as the summer holidays where out, they still had to close the theme park due to safety. Could you guess being left upside down on the ramesis revenge or some other rollercoaster for two hours or so.
To be honest, I have just returned from a great safari trip and it was truly amazing. I have visited numerous zoos around the United kingdom, but nothing can genuinely match the African escapade that I have recently been on. I see a lot of people forking out money on trying to get that feeling in the UK, but its simply not going to happen. Instead save up your money and spend it on going to a great African holiday. The wildlife that you come across is truly breath taking, you can get up close and personal with most of the animals.
I would definitely recommend to anyone looking to go on a safari that it is absolutely the best possible option, you will get to relax and unwind and come back feeling like a million dollar, and its something you will truly cherish.
