Get ready to start booking those holidays, Christmas is here, and its being fired at us like an arrow. If you are in the travel industry, you more than likely would have seen a loss in profits this year. The holidays district has not done very well throughout this year, mainly due to the recession, but also due to incorrect weather forecasts, indicating a warm summer in Britain.
Now however, tour operators are saying that Christmas will receive a massive influx of holidays because of the lack of holidays during the summer season. The Christmas period does receive a lot of attention for holidays any way. Hopefully what this means is that the increase in customers coming to tour operators will mean an increase in their profits.
So will the Christmas holidays start to flood in? Well the tour operators have been anticipating this so much that deals and offers are flying around everywhere. Looking at the figures for holiday bookings, it would seem that people want to use Christmas as a holiday away in the Caribbean as well.
The Caribbean does get a lot of tourist attention, but St Lucia and Barbados are among the most popular places to holiday in the world. In Fact they are even more popular at Christmas time. Now i don’t know about everyone else, but i find it odd that people would like to go on holiday to tropical climates at Christmas time. When I was younger and even now, the joy of a snowy Christmas always gave me such fun and excitement. Christmas time, or at least the ideal one is often described as the “white Christmas”.
How do we all feel about the weather now? Nowadays we don’t seem to be that concerned with snow at Christmas time now. The sun and clear blue seas are what compel us to embark on Caribbean holidays. Maybe Christmas has just become one of those days of the year that we just consider a normal day now!
