There are some amazing camping spots in Southern Utah. In fact if you are ever taking a Southern Utah vacation you could spend your entire vacation camping around at some of these areas, after all it is much cheaper than staying at a hotel.
1. Fish Lake
Fish Lake is a wonderful spot to take a fishing and camping trip at. This Utah Lake is a great place to go if you are looking to get nice fishing memories. It is also surrounded by the Fish Lake National Forests that has many great hiking trails and includes the world’s largest living organism, which is basically a group of tress that are all fused together.
There is just a single word of warning I should give you this lake is best suited for R.Vs. camping area. If you bring a tent you had better come during the summer or you are going to freeze.
2. Any National Park
Every one of the Utah National Parks are well worth the visit and by camping out at them you can see all there is to see. Each park has a camping section and they are all relatively inexpensive.
3. Green River
The Green River State Park is a fantastic place to camp out because they have some nice fishing and it also contains a golf course so there is a lot to do just on the camp ground. In addition to that it is also near 3 big national parks, Arches, Capitol Reef, and Canyonlands.
The wide variety of things to do here make this a fantastic spot to plan a family vacation at.
4. Snow Canyon
Snow canyon is also a nice place to stay; this park is normally not very crowded and contains some amazing lava flow rock formations. It is also next to the other two National Parks, Zion National Park and Bryce Canyon.
There are hundreds of spots to camp around the state. These are just a few nice camping areas which you might want to check out.
