Reasons To Visit Southern Utah

Going on a Southern Utah vacation can be one of the best decisions you can make. This state is really a gold mine for people who like to hike and enjoy nature. What are some of the reasons to come to the state? Below are a few reasons to take a vacation to the state.

1. Beautiful Scenery

The Utah scenery is spectacular. There is just so much beautiful land in the state. The number one reason Utah is so unique is because of their large rock formations, the delicate arch, double arch, Canyonland needles, and rainbow bridge to name a few are all very amazing and breathtaking structures.

There are also 5 National Parks which all show off a little of Utah’s natural beauty. So, be sure you keep your camera with you.

2. Great Fishing

The fishing in Utah is spectacular, and there are a ton of fishing areas to choose from. Lake Powell and Fish Lake can both produce some pretty big fish and some pretty great fishing stories. Taking a fishing trip to any of these awesome Utah lakes can be a worthwhile experience.

3. Indian Sites

People have inhabited Utah for thousands of years, as a result there are many interesting indian sites. One such example is Fremont Indian State Park which houses many amazing Indian hieroglyphics and is a great place to learn about how these people actually lived.

Another interesting indian artifact area is Hovenweep in the South Eastern part of the state. This place contains a large number of interesting ancient indian houses which you can walk directly up to. I love to learn about history, so these ancient sites have been a pretty fun spot for me.

4. Skiing and Snow Boarding

Of course one of the things Utah is known for is their fine powder. The Utah snow is perfect for skiers, snow boarders, and other snow related sports. There are a lot of great ski resorts to choose from.

Those are just a few reasons to visit the state, but you can’t fully appreciate the state without visiting it.
