Holidays versus Cruises!

So now this time is approaching us and we need to make a decision on our holidays for the next year. Christmas is here, and so holiday bookings fall to an all time low, then January slaps us in the face and those bookings go mad. It is time to start looking at who will be taking on the beach holiday in the heavyweight for for summer, let’s see how we think cruise holidays could fair up.

Cruises have become a massive holiday experience, all across the world these exotic and rather large cruise ships are transporting people around in style. Cruise ships have been that little niche market, however now they are coming out of their shell a bit. The Cruise ship was a massive phenomenon but it was very expensive, and the price hasn’t changed much. Now that things have gotten a little cheaper and easier to access, people from everywhere and anywhere can experience these holidays. Cruises can take massive numbers aboard there ships, even in the thousands, but because of their sheer size they can quite comfortably cope with this. Cruise ships have all that anyone could need aboard them; including theatre shows and even a cinema, not to mention several restaurants and much more.

Bringing up the traditional side of things, is those holidays where you travel to a single location, no bustling about or travelling miles, but just enjoying the sun on a remote island. We will use one location as an example let’s say the Caribbean. There are so many great beach areas in the Caribbean, the best probably in St Lucia, Barbados and Antigua not to mention Jamaica and Cuba. Cruise holidays are very expensive, and although Caribbean holidays are still not that cheap, they are no where near as expensive as Cruise holidays. The only single disadvantage of this is that you can only see one place, you can’t really travel to several islands?

So what are you going to plan for your holiday next year, Caribbean holidays also come in that crucial cruise mix as well, where as St Lucia holidays and Barbados holidays are great, especially for those that just want to sun!
