Maintaining the right amount of swimming pool chemicals in your water is the answer to a healthy swimming pool. Algae growth will be minium and the water will look crystal clear and hence neither you or the pool will suffer.
During the winter season water tends to stay clear with very little help in your swimming pools. Algae do not appear and I hardly ever see the pool turn green during the winter time. If algae do occur the growth is very slow, but doesn’t mean you shouldn’t use the chemicals keep using the swimming pool chemicals so that when the spring comes your pool is ready for use.
How many times a month do you need to you use the pool chemicals?
The pool chemicals should be used twice every month to deal with algae and dead bacteria. When you do the filtering process most of these waste materials would have been removed but some will still remain and this can cause skin and eye irritation.
How do I test my pool?
To measure the acidity use pH level to test your pool. For Chlorine to work properly the balance of the ph level needs to be stable. After this the pool filtering system will keep the water crystal clear and healthy. Sanitiser and Alkalinity can also be used to test your swimming pools.
Some people have also asked me if there is a chemical that changes colour when someone pees in the pool. Unfortunately no, there is not. Though there are dyes to change the colour of the water.
After the swimming pool chemicals has been applied cover your pool with swimming pool covers and let the chemical do the work, this will ensure your pool is clean and ready to be used.
