Very Dangerous Sharks

Shark Attack

If you are planning on going on one of thosediving holidays then I will say before I go on that the likelihood of you being attacked by a shark is very small indeed but there are some sharks out there that have attacked more than others. If you actually look into some of the research that has been done you will find that 9 times out of 10 a human will be mistaken as prey by a shark. Onto the list!

The Great White

This is the one that everyone seems to be afraid of and although most of them will not purposely hunt humans down they are one of the only species of sharks that love their unprovoked attacks however it would seem that a lot of the time it is to do with mistaken identity rather than just going after a human. Many scientists have now discovered that the reason that Great Whites do not often go for humans is because when diving they usually travel together and a human has the ability to pull the victim out of the water. What happens with a great white is that it will come in for a killer blow and wait a bit longer until the victim is weak, humans will pull away their friends in this time.

The Tiger Shark

This shark is also high on the list of the amount of fatal attacks it causes on human beings. They are often found in shallow waters like harbours and sometimes even rivers so human contact is inevitable. In Hawaii a lot of attacks seem to happen because people go out looking for them, many Hawaiians believe the sharks eyes are sacred, you can hardly blame the shark for attacking these people.

Finally the bull shark is also another man killer and this is because they are very territorial and will not stand for anyone being in their space.

Do not let this put you off ofshark diving because in most instances it is a perfectly safe thing to do, the best location I feel has to bered sea diving holidays.
